Argento Chase
The Argento Chase is run at Cheltenham racecourse at the end of January each year and is part of a series of preparatory races for the Cheltenham Festival run on the same day, with the Cleeve Hurdle and the Classic Novices' Hurdle the other two main races of the meeting. The Argento is run over three miles and 1 1/2 furlongs and can be a stepping stone to the Cheltenham Gold Cup, although it would be rare for the winner of the race to be highly fancied for the Gold Cup.
