ICC World Twenty20 betting - India vs Sri Lanka

India take on Sri Lanka today, needing a huge win to overhaul their net run rate deficit and qualify for the semi-finals. The Indians have lost both of their games in the Super Eights stage, to the West Indies and Australia, and now face an uphill struggle to make it to the semi-finals. Australia are almost guaranteed to go through in first place, and whoever goes through second will play England in the semi-finals.
India are favourites for the match, priced at 17/20 with Blue Square (bet $200 to make $170 profit). Sri Lanka are priced at 11/10 on Betfair to win the match.
In the market for top Indian batsman, the bookmakers have installed Gautam Gambhir as favourite, priced at 7/2. Suresh Raina is next, best priced at 4/1 with Ladbrokes, and Murali Vijay is also best at 7/2, with Bet365. MS Dhoni is a 7/1 shot.
Mahela Jayawardene is favourite to be top batsman for Sri Lanka, priced at 5/2. Kumar Sangakkara is at 7/2, followed by Tillakaratne Dilshan at 9/2. Sanath Jayasuriya is priced at 6/1.
Harbhajan Singh is favourite to be top bowler for India at 3/1, with Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra both at 7/2. Lasith Malinga and Ajantha Mendis are at the head of the market for Sri Lanka, followed by Suraj Randiv, who is at 9/2.
Since India will probably not qualify for the semi-finals, they are priced at 16/1 to win the tournament. Sri Lanka look to be much better value, priced at 8/1.
