The Rajasthan Royals face the Kolkata Night Riders today in the IPL hoping to improve on their dreadful start to the season which has seen them lose all three of their opening matches and sink to the bottom of the table. The Royals, who won the first ever season of the IPL, face a Kolkata team looking to bounce back from their defeat to Chennai last time out.
The Night Riders are strong favourites for the game at 1/2 (bet $bet $20 to win $10 profit), leaving Rajasthan as underdogs at 7/4. Last season the teams met twice and split 1-1 but the all-time record is currently 3-1 in favour of the Royals.
West Indies Captain Chris Gayle has been made favourite at 3/1 to top-score for the Night Riders today at 3/1, followed by Australian specialist Brad Hodge at 10/3. The Kolkata captain, Sourav Ganguly, is next at 9/2 with Skybet. Owais Shah is available at 5/1.
For the Royals, Englishman Michael Lumb is favourite to finish as top batsman at 7/2, followed by Yusuf Pathan, who is currently playing in his third season with the team. Opening batsman Swapnil Asnodkar is available at 5/1, with Damien Martyn, Naman Ojha and Amit Paunikar all at the same price.
The Night Riders are rated as a mid-range side so far this season and are 6/1 to win the IPL. Rajasthan, however, are seen as the league`s worst team and are 33/1.
