Cristiano Ronaldo names new son Cristiano Ronaldo to cause betting upset

Cristiano Ronaldo has named his new baby boy Cristiano to cause a major betting upset for Paddy Power punters. The Irish bookmaker was prepared to lay generous odds of 25/1 (bet £4 to win £100 profit) about Cristiano`s new son being named after himself.

The odds suggested that there was an even greater chance that the baby was named either Ronald Ronaldo or Ronaldo Ronaldo, which were both 12/1 chances. The market leaders were Jose and Hugo, which were priced up at 5/1 and 6/1 respectively. Paddy Power even had the audacity to quote Wayne at 66/1 in the name betting.

It has been confirmed that Cristiano was born in the US but the identity of his mother remains a mystery to punters. The betting on his mother has been suspended, but at the last show Raffaella Fico was trading as the 2/1 favourite. Nereida Gallardo was slightly bigger at 3/1, with Olivia Saunders at 4/1.

The 9lbs 8oz baby is 25/1 to play football for Portugal in a competitive international before he reaches the age of 25, also with Paddy Power. As for his club, Real Madrid is 33/1 and Manchester United could be a value pick at 66/1.
