FA Cup football betting update

Following last night`s results, the field in the FA Cup has now been narrowed down to just eight teams, all vying for the prestigious trophy. The biggest shock of last night`s replays was undoubtedly Stoke`s 3-1 victory over the highly fancied Man City, meaning that Roberto Mancini`s side only have the Premiership to concentrate on now.
Tottenham and Aston Villa both won their matches, with Spurs cruising past Bolton 4-0, and Villa beating Crystal Palace 3-1. Spurs now face an away clash with Fulham on the sixth of March, while Villa travel to Reading, who beat West Brom 3-2 last night. Stoke face the unenviable task of travelling to Stamford Bridge to play Chelsea in their Sixth Round clash. The other quarter-final clash is between Premiership outfits, Portsmouth and Birmingham.
Chelsea are the favourites to win the competition, priced at 13/10 with Betfair. Spurs and Villa are next in the betting, with Villa slightly ahead at 4/1, compared the 5/1 being offered on Spurs. Birmingham, who have been performing above all expectations in the Premiership this season, are best priced at 12/1 with Bet365, while Fulham are at 14/1 with Ladbrokes. Pompey are at 20/1, and the huge task facing Stoke means that they are the outsiders. Coral price them at 25/1.
Stan James are offering early match betting odds for the Sixth Round games, with the first match of the weekend being the Birmingham vs Pompey game. They offer 6/4 on both sides, and rate the draw as a 9/4 shot. Tottenham are slight favourites for their game, priced at 11/8. Fulham are at 13/8 for that game, and the draw is at 9/4.
Villa are hot favourites for their match, priced at 5/6. Reading are at 11/4, and the draw is at 12/5. Stoke are the biggest underdogs in the sixth round, and are priced at 9/1 to beat last year`s champions. Â Chelsea are 2/9 favourites to progress to the semis at Wembley, and draw is at 9/2.
