FA Cup football - Crystal Palace vs Wolves

Cash-strapped Crystal Palace will look to put their problems off the field to one side tonight as they hosts Premier League side Wolves in the replay of their fourth-round FA Cup tie. Palace entered administration on Wednesday and are now in a relegation battle in the Championship having been deducted ten points. However, they can take heart from their display in the first round of this tie, where they drew 2-2 at the Molineux, having led the hosts twice.
The hosts have been made favourites for the game at 13/8 (bet £80 to win £130 profit) despite being a league below Wolves, who are underdogs at 7/4. Palace have been in strong form recently, winning three of their last five matches. Wolves are without a win in five but are playing against far stronger opponents than the team they face tonight. The draw is priced at 12/5.
The bookmakers believe the two teams are quite evenly matched and have made a 1-1 draw the most likely result of the match at 6/1, ahead of 1-0 to Palace at 15/2 and 1-0 win for the visitors at 8/1. A goalless draw is available at 9/1 with a 2-1 win for either side priced at 10/1.
Wolves striker Kevin Doyle has been made the favourite to open the scoring tonight at 6/1, ahead of team-mates Iwelumo and Ebanks-Blake at 7/1, with Palace`s Alan Lee at the same price. The Eagles` top scorer Darren Ambrose, who has already hit eleven goals this season, is available at 8/1.
Further evidence of how close the teams are seen as being is found in the half-time/full-time market, where the bookmakers have offered 4/1 for both sides to lead at both half-time and full-time and 11/2 on both sides to win after drawing at half-time.
Neither side are given a good chance of lifting the FA Cup this season but Wolves are seen as the more likely of the two, priced at 80/1 ahead of Palace at 175/1.
