FA Cup Winner Betting Update: Chelsea Favourites as United Draw Liverpool

Chelsea remain the bookmakers' favourites to win the FA Cup this season after a flattering 4-0 win at home to Portsmouth saw them through to a fourth-round meeting with either QPR or MK Dons. Chelsea's Premier League challenge looks all but dead after a series of disappointing results and the FA Cup looks to be their best hope of silverware this season. On their day the Blues are a match for anyone in the competition and Coral offer 9/2 that they can win the Cup for the fourth time in just six years.
Next in the betting are Tottenham, available at 11/2 with Boylesports and Coral. Spurs have been marvellous to watch this campaign and look as if they have a great chance of lifting the trophy for the first time since 1991, with Harry Redknapp's side arguably boasting the best midfield in England. However, the North Londoners could be more concerned with challenging for the league title, or at least securing a spot in the Champions League, than they are with the FA Cup, and a lack of real cover for their leading lights could see the star men rested in the early stages.
Manchester United will be cursing their luck after winning a nervy match at rivals City only to find themselves confronted with a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool. Alex Ferguson knows how to win the FA Cup and is unlikely to take the competition lightly, but given the difficulty of their tie and the doubts about some areas of pitch they could look quite short at just 6/1 with Victor Chandler.
One of the major talking points in City v United was the return of Paul Scholes, but Arsenal topped in a day later with the reintroduction of Thierry Henry to the fans who supported him for so long. The Frenchman duly scored the winner over Leeds and his temporary team are now 8/1 with William Hill to finally end their extended trophy drought this season. It remains to be seen just how good Arsenal are, but they surely have a chance if the can keep Robin van Persie at full fitness.
Liverpool beat lowly Oldham in the last round but face a far stiffer test in the next round against the Premier League Champions. There is no doubt Liverpool have come a long way under Kenny Dalglish but the Reds seem to lack firepower at times and will need to be at their best if they are to reward those who choose to back them at 10/1 with Victor Chandler. They are followed in the betting by Newcastle, one of the season's surprise packages, and Sunderland, who are enjoying a much-needed revival under Martin O'Neill's guidance. Both Northeast teams can be backed at 20/1 with Ladbrokes, slightly ahead oof Everton at 22/1 with Sky Bet. Stoke will also fancy their chances and could do well on the back of a strong home record, with Coral offering 28/1.
The next round of the FA Cup gets under way on Satuday 28th of January.
