FA Cup: QPR vs MK Dons Odds and Betting Preview

LONDON, UK - Crisis club QPR host League One outfit MK Dons in an FA Cup Third Round replay, looking for a morale-boosting win to resurrect their season. Rangers are favourites at 10/11 (bet £11 to win £10) to win the game in 90 minutes with Coral and Bet365, while MK Dons are a top price of 7/2 with Stan James to cause an upset and win the game. Punters can back the draw at 11/4 with Stan James or 14/5 on Betfair.
QPR, under new manager Mark Hughes, need a win. The league is undoubtedly the priority this season, with a Premier League future at stake to secure, but the cup presents a chance to build consistency and for Hughes to make an impression on the team. The losing habit Rangers developed under previous manager Neil Warnock need to be shed as soon as possible if they aren't going to continue to slip down the table.
The two teams played out a 1-1 draw 10 days ago at Stadium MK, and it is 15/2 on Betfair for another 1-1 draw tonight. If the match does end in a draw, then the tie will go into extra-time and if needed, penalties. QPR are heavy favourites at 2/5 with Sporting Bet to qualify from the tie for the fourth round, while the Dons are 9/4 with Stan James to make it in any way into the next round of the biggest cup competition in the country.
QPR have a poor record at home this season, having only won 1 game there all season, against 9-man Chelsea back in October, and it is 8/1 on Betfair for them to win 1-0 again tonight. 2-0 is 8/1 with Coral and Bet365 while you can get 15/2, a top price with Boylesports, for a 2-1 home win. MK Dons are 5th in the 24-team League One (the third tier of English football), hoping to at least make the play-offs this season, if not make a push on the automatic promotion spots.
They have the 2nd best away record in the division, though they will not have had many games like this one, given the quality of Rangers' Premier League squad. They have only lost three games on the road all season, though the two away games against teams above them in the league were both defeats, which perhaps points to a precedent of losing games away to good teams. They are 11/1 with Stan James to grab a 0-0 draw, while Coral are offering 12/1 for them to sneak a 1-0 win.
Heider Helguson, a shining light for QPR this season leading the goalscoring charts at the club, is 7/5 with Bet365 to score anytime during the game, while Federico Macheda, on loan from Manchester United, is 13/8 with Boylesports. You can get 2/1 on both Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell to score anytime with Coral.
The winner of the tie has to play Chelsea at home in the fourth round, and QPR are 80/1 with most bookies, such as Bodog, Blue Square and Paddy Power to win the competition outright. MK Dons are a huge 750/1 with bet365 to end up with the trophy come May.
The game is live on ITV4 and kicks off at 2000 GMT.
