SOUTHAMPTON, UKΒ - It's take two for Millwall and Southampton as far as the FA Cup fourth round goes as the two Championship sides play out the replay of the tie that ended 1-1 at the Den, ten days ago. Despite Nigel Adkins promise to ring the changes, home advantage makes Saints strong favourites to progress to the next round of the Cup, priced at 8/11 (bet Β£11 to make Β£8 profit) with Coral to win in normal time.
Millwall needed an 86th minute goal from Darius Henderson, to cancel out Rickie Lambert's opener and land this replay. This is the fifth time out of six that a replay has been required when these clubs have been drawn to meet in the FA Cup and Saints' fans will be pleased to know that Southampton have won all five previous ties.
A draw in the normal time is best priced at 3/1 with BetVictor and Millwall can be backed at best odds of 9/2 with Paddy Power to bounce straight back to winning ways following their 2-1 defeat at the hands of ten-man bitter rivals West Ham United at the weekend in the League.
Southampton also have the overall form against Millwall and the Saints have not lost to Millwall in any of their last ten league and cup clashes. However, the Lions are unbeaten in their last eight FA Cup matches against clubs from the same division and they will be hoping to become the fouth Championship side to qualify for round five of the FA Cup.Β
In the total goals market, over 2.5 goals is priced at 10/11 with Ladbrokes and under 2.5 goals is best priced at 5/6 with Boyle Sports.
These sides last met back in August when the Saints won 1-0 in a tight match against the Lions at St. Mary's Stadium, and the same scoreline today is priced at 13/2 with Coral. In the same market, a 1-1 draw is priced at 7/1 with William Hill, a 2-0 win for Southampton is priced at 7/1 with Sportingbet and a 1-0 win for Millwall is best priced at 16/1 with bet365.
Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has confirmed that midfielder Richard Chaplow and striker Tadanari Lee will start the FA Cup fourth-round replay.Β Chaplow returns from a knee injury and Lee makes his full debut but, Billy Sharp, Iago Falque, Danny Fox and Jos Hooiveld are all unavailable.
For Millwall, new signing Andy Keogh is ineligible so Harry Kane or Dany N'Guessan could start up front and captain Paul Robinson is close to recovery from a thigh injury and may feature.
If the sides can't be separated after 90 minutes then the tie will go to extra-time and if needs be penalties to decide who will host Bolton at home in the fifth round of the World's oldest club competition. Southampton are strong favourites to qualify from the tie, priced at 4/11 with William Hill while Millwall are quoted at best odds of 12/5 with Blue Square to make the last 16 for the first time since their 2004 final defeat against Manchester United.
The game kicks-off at 19:45 GMT.
