FA Cup: Stevenage vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds and Betting Preview

STEVENAGE, UK - League One side Stevenage host Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon in the fifth round of the FA Cup, live on TV. Spurs are heavy favourites to win the game at a best price of 1/3 (bet £3 to win £1) with Paddy Power and Ladbrokes, while Stevenage are priced at 10/1 with Bet365, Betfred and a number of other firms. Punters can back the draw at 5/1, only on Betfair.
In the event of a draw, the two sides would meet for a replay at White Hart Lane in several weeks time, and it is 1/10 with Paddy Power that Spurs qualify from the tie, while Stevenage are 13/2 with Bet365 and Boylesports to make the quarter-finals.
Spurs are likely to put out a strong team however, as their squad isn't a huge size, and this is a good chance of their first silverware since 2008 with Arsenal and both Manchester clubs having exited the competition. Spurs are joint favourites to win the competition, the Lilywhites priced at 14/5 on Betfair to get their hands on the trophy come May, and 5/2 with most other high street bookies. Stevenage are the longest-priced side left in the competition, at a huge 750/1 with Bet Victor.
Spurs' team will feature a mixture of first-team players and fringe players, with the likes of Assou-Ekotto, Defoe, Lennon, Adebayor and Walker very likely to feature, complemented by Michael Dawson, Carlo Cudicini, Niko Kranjcar and possibly some youth players on the bench. Spurs have beaten Cheltenham and Watford on their way to this round of the competition, and their game against Watford in the last round saw them field a side essentially indistinguishable from their Premier League XI.
The Lilywhites are 5/6 with Boylesports and Coral to win by two goals or more, and 2/1 with Boylesports to win with a (-2) goal handicap. They are 15/8 with Coral to win both halves, and 11/10 with Sky Bet to win to nil.
Stevenage are 6th in League One, enjoying successive promotions and looking for a third, currently in the last play-off spot in the third tier of English football. At home to the supposedly superior sides in the division they have performed admirably, winning four out of the four games they have played at home to sides above them in the league. They are 12/5 with Coral to win with a (+1) goal handicap, and 17/20 with Stan James to win with a (+2) handicap. You can get 9/1 with Blue Square on a Stevenage win with a draw no bet.
Spurs' Adebayor, their top goalscorer this season, is evens with Bet Victor to score anytime today, as is Jermain Defoe. Louis Saha, who made his full debut last weekend for the club at home to Newcastle, scored two goals that day and may welll start today. He is 5/4 with Bet Victor to score anytime, while Bodog are offering 11/8 for Gareth Bale to score.
Stevenage's Craig Reid is best at 4/1 with Ladbrokes to get on the scoresheet today, while you can get the same price at Bet Victor for Craig Beardsley to score anytime.
The match kicks off at 1400 GMT and is live on ITV.
