HUNGARORING, HUNGARY- As the dust still settles after last week`s controversial events, the motoring world gets ready for the Hungarian Grand Prix, which should be just as interesting as the German Grand Prix.
McLaren will be wondering what they need to do to minimise the damage of the much faster Ferrari and Red Bull teams, whilst Alonso will be looking to capitalise on last week`s "victory" on a track he has historically done well on.
Alonso won here in 2003 and held pole last year. On the basis of that impressive pedigree and a very fast Ferrari, Alonso goes into the Hungarian Grand Prix as favourite at 2/1 (bet £1 to make a £2 profit) with Betfred. The two Red Bulls of Vettel and Webber are 5/2 and 11/2 respectively with Blue Square.
Lewis Hamilton, who leads the Driver`s Championship, has won here three times including last year and is 7/1 with Bet365.
In the qualifying market Vettel is favourite to take pole at 15/8 with Stan James, Alonso is 2/1 with betinternet and Hamilton is 10/1 with Coral. Vettel has had six pole positions this season and only two victories.
Ferrari`s very impressive speed last time out has warranted them being made favourites this weekend at 15/8 with Bet365. Red Bull are second favourites at 11/8 with Betfair and McLaren are priced at 4/1 with Betfred. For a podium finish Jenson Button is well worth a punt at 3/1.
Other markets to look out for are first lap leader, which sees Vettel priced at 2/1 with Paddy Power and Alonso 11/2 with Sky Bet.
In the Drivers` Championship, Hamilton is still favourite at 9/4 with Boylesports and in the Constructor`s Championship Red Bull are favourites at 13/10 with Betfair.
