PGA Tour Golf betting - St. Jude Classic

Lee Westwood is favourite to win the St. Jude Classic, which tees off today in Memphis, Tennessee. The tournament is held every year at the Tournament Players Club at Southwind and the field of 156 will be competing for a share of $5.6 million.
Westwood, who is currently ranked third in the world, is 13/1 with Paddy Power to win this week after an impressive 2010 that has seen him record seven top ten finishes, including second places at both the Masters and the Dubai Desert Classic. However, he may find some difficulties playing for the first time on this course in such hot and humid conditions.
Another course débutante is 21 year-old Rory McIlroy from Northern Ireland. Third at the Abu Dhabi Championship in his first event of the season, McIlroy earned his first PGA Tour win at Quail Hollow at May, shooting a new course record in the process, to break into the world top ten. He is second favourite to win in Memphis at 16/1.
Following Westwood and McIlroy in the betting, at 18/1, is Ben Crane. Since winning the Farmers Insurance Open early in the season, Crane has missed only one cut and finished in the top ten in his last three starts, coming third at the Crowne Plaza inviational last time out.
Crane`s fellow American, Brian Gay, is 25/1 and he will be defending his title this year at the St. Jude. Others of interest include Ian Poulter, winner of the Accenture Match Play Championship, and two-time winner Southwind winner Justin Leonard, at 33/1 and 45/1 (with Totesport) respectively.
The St. Jude Classic tees off at 1 pm UK time today.
