International Friendly betting - France vs China
By Matt Knowles on 2010-06-04 15:00:25
France and China meet in a friendly tonight as the World Cup draws near and the 2006 runners-up are strong favourites, with Victor Chandler offering the best odds at 11/2. China are big underdogs at 22/1 with Canbet and the draw is available at 11/2.
Tonight`s hosts are not in the best form. Their only win in their last four matches was a unconvincing 2-1 victory over minnows Costa Rica and last time out they could manage only a draw against Tunisia. China`s last match saw them lose 2-0 to Portugal but that was their only defeat in their last fifteen games.
The bookmakers seem to think France will win comfortable tonight and 2-0 is the favourite score for the game at 11/2, followed by 3-0 at 13/2 and 1-0 at 15/2, with Sky Bet best price on each. The same firm also offer 20/1 that the game finishes goalless, while Paddy Power go 33/1 on an unlikely 1-0 win for the visitors.
France are 4/7, again with Sky Bet, to lead tonight at both half-time and full-time and 4/1 to win the match after drawing at half-time. Draw/draw is generally available at 10/1 and China are 50/1 with Bet365 to be in front at both the interval and the final whistle.
After difficulties in qualifying, many believe France are not the force they once were. However, they still go to the World Cup among the favourites, priced at 20/1 with most bookmakers.
