International Friendly betting - Poland vs Serbia
By Matt Knowles on 2010-06-02 18:00:16
Serbia` embarrassing defeat to New Zealand last week was the last thing they wanted as they prepare for this summer`s World Cup. Tonight they face Poland, who will not be going to South Africa, in a friendly in Kufstein, and they will hope for a big improvement on their performance last time out.
The visitors are favourites for the game at 3/4 (bet £40 to win £30 profit), leaving Poland as underdogs at 4/1, with the draw at 13/5. Both sides have reason to be disappointed with their most recent showings, with Poland drawing 0-0 with Finland, but both are also generally in good form, with four wins in their last five matches.
The bookmakers have made a 1-1 the joint-favourite score for the game, along with a 1-0 win for Serbia. 2-0 to the away side is available at 15/2 and a comprehensive 3-0 win is at 14/1. Poland, however, can cause problems for any opponent and Sportingbet offer 10/1 on 0-0, while 11/1 is generally available on a slim 1-0 home win.
Serbia will want to put the New Zealand match behind them as soon as possible and may look to score early this evening. They are 15/8 with Boylesports to lead at both half-time and full-time and 7/2 to win the match after drawing at half-time. Draw/draw is available at 9/2 and Victor Chandler offer 17/2 on Poland/Poland.
The bookmakers believe Serbia will go to this World Cup as outsiders but give them a chance a decent run, pricing them at 66/1
