International Friendly football betting - Scotland vs Czech Republic
By Matt Knowles on 2010-03-03 19:00:26
Scotland face the Czech Republic tonight in a friendly match at Hampden Park. Neither of these sides will be going to the World Cup this summer but the managers will still be eager to have a look at their squads and start thinking about the 2012 European Championships. Scotland will also hope to bounce back from their humiliating 3-0 defeat to Wales last time out.
The hosts are slight favourites for the game at 13/8 (bet £8 to win £13 profit), leaving the Czech Republic as underdogs at 19/10. Scotland won only two of their seven matches last season, including a 4-0 defeat against Norway. Their opponents tonight were slightly better, winning four of their last eight and going undefeated over this period. The draw is available at 23/10.
A 1-1 draw has been made the favourite score for tonight`s match at 6/1, with a 1-0 win for Scotland at 7/1 and 2-0 at 12/1. A goalless draw is priced at 8/1 and a 1-0 win for the Czech Republic, providing a disappointing start to the job for their newly appointed manager Craig Levein.
Kris Boyd has been made favourite to open the scoring tonight at 13/2 with Bet365, followed by the Czech Republic`s Vaclav Sverkos at 7/1. Kenny Miller and Steven Fletcher are both available at 15/2 and CSKA Moscow`s Tomas Necid, who scored twice in four games in the qualifying stages of the World up is at the same price with Bet365.
Scotland are 4/1 to lead tonight at both half-time and full-time and 11/2 to win the match after drawing at half-time. The bookmakers also offer 4/1 that both halves end in a draw and the Czech Republic are the same price to be winning at the end of each half. The Czech Republic are 11/2 to win the match at the final whistle despite drawing at the interval.
