Kauto Star
Kauto Star is trained by Paul Nicholls and is rated as one of the best steeplechasers of all time. Having started his career over the obstacles in France, he earned the nickname 'L'Extraterrestre'. Often partnered by Irish jockey Ruby Walsh, 'Kauto' has won an amazing four King Georges, two Gold Cups, three Betfair Chases and two Tingle Creeks, amongst other valuable prizes at the highest level. His combination of speed and stamina is unique, and he is feared by bookmakers across the country. He finished third in the Gold Cup as an 11 year old but may be nearing retirement following a disappointing effort in the Guinness Gold Cup at Punchestown.
