La Liga football betting - Almeria vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid look to keep their title chances alive as they travel to Almeria tonight in La Liga. After losing to Barcelona in the famous `El Clasico` on Saturday Real find themselves chasing their rivals and they are now three points from top with an inferior goal difference. The race is far from over but it would almost definitely be too much to overcome if Madrid drop points tonight and after crashing out of both the Champions League and the Spanish Cup Manuel Pelligrini is in real danger of finishing the season with nothing, failing to justify his team`s extraordinary summer expenditure.
The visitors are favourites for the game at 1/3 (bet £30 to win £10 profit), leaving Almeria as underdogs at 19/2 with the draw at 9/2. Real have been excellent this season and their defeat at the weekend broke a run of five straight wins. Almeria have had a decent season and are eleventh in La Liga but are on a poor run of form and have now won only once in their last matches, last time out losing 4-1 to Athletic Bilbao.
The bookmakers have made a 2-0 win for Real the favourite score for the match at 13/2, followed by 2-1 at 8/1 and 1-0 at 17/2. SkyBet offer 9/1 on a 3-0 win for the visitors and a 1-1 draw is slightly longer at 10/1. Canbet are best price on 0-0, offering 22/1, and a shock 1-0 win for Almeria is available at 25/1 with Paddy Power.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been made the favourite to open the scoring tonight at 11/4. The Portuguese superstar has only managed twenty-two appearances this season but has managed to find the net eighteen times in La Liga. He is followed in the betting by the prolific Gonzalo Higuain, who has twenty-four goals this term, at 3/1 with Karim Benzema at 4/1.Kalu Uche is seen as Almeria`s best hope of scoring the game`s first goal tonight and the Nigerian midfielder is priced at 11/1.
Real Madrid are 5/6 to lead tonight at both half-time and full-time and 7/2 to win the match after drawing at half-time. Bet1128 offer 9/1 that both halves end in a draw and Almeria are as long as 20/1 to be in front at both the interval and the final whistle. Draw/Almeria is available at 22/1.
Barcelona`s victory at the Bernabeu has seen them established as firm favourite to retain their La Liga title this season and the Catalan club are now as short as 2/9, with Real available at 4/1 with SkyBet.
