Spanish La Liga football betting - Real Madrid vs Seville

Real Madrid host Seville tonight in La Liga hoping to keep the pressure on league-leaders Barcelona. Real are now just two points behind their Catalan rivals with a superior goal difference and will definitely believe they can win the league this season. After an extraordinary spending spree in the summer transfer window, La Liga will be the minimum requirement and Manuel Pelligrini will be under pressure to add the Champions League if he hopes to keep his job.
The hosts are favourites for the game at 2/5 (bet £50 to win £20 profit), leaving Seville as underdogs at 8/1 with Stan James. Madrid have won every home game this season and have won their last six league matches, scoring twenty-two goals and conceding only four. Seville, who are fourth in the league but have won only two of their last six matches. However, they may take some confidence in their 2-1 win over Real earlier in the season. The draw is available at 4/1 but again, Madrid have won every home game this season.
A 2-0 win for the hosts has been made the favourite score for the match at 13/2, followed by 1-0 at 8/1 and 3-0 at 9/1 with Skybet. A 1-1 draw is at the same price and a goalless draw is at 16/1. A shock 1-0 win for Seville is 22/1 with Paddy Power and another 2-1 is available at 28/1.
Cristiano Ronaldo, unsurprisingly, has been made favourite to open the scoring tonight at 10/3 with Betfred. The Portugese superstar has scored thirteen goals in fifteen league matches and he has four in his last three. Next most likely is the prolific Gonzalo Higuain, who has sixteen in eighteen, at 7/2, followed by Karim Benzema at 9/2. Frederic Kanoute is seen as Seville`s best chance of scoring the first goal tonight and the Malian is priced at 10/1.
Real Madrid are evens with Paddy Power to lead tonight at both half-time and full-time and 7/2 with William Hill to win the match after drawing at half-time. Stan James offer 15/2 that both halves are drawn and Seville are generally available at 16/1 to be winning at both the interval and the final whistle. Draw/Seville is 18/1.
The new Galacticos are 13/8 with Stan James to win La Liga this season and face Barcelona on the 11th of April at the Santiago Bernabeu.
