English Premier League betting - Liverpool vs Tottenham

The second of tonight`s Premiership games is a massive match for two of the teams competing for the Champions League. Liverpool`s poor form this season sees them lying in seventh place, four points behind fourth placed Tottenham. Spurs beat Liverpool at White Hart Lane on the first day of the season, but are likely to face a tougher challenge this time around.
Liverpool`s last match was the 1-1 draw with Stoke on Saturday, where they again conceded a late goal, and missed their chance to catch up on their rivals. Hull goalkeeper Boaz Myhill almost single handedly stopped Spurs from scoring in the 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane. Liverpool were also knocked out of the FA Cup last week, with an extra time Reading goal.
Spurs will be missing Aaron Lennon, Alan Hutton and Jonathan Woodgate through groin injuries, as well Benoit Asou-Ekotto with a hip complaint. Ledley King and Tom Huddlestone are both doubtful for Spurs. However, this injury list is nothing compared to the woes which Liverpool are suffering. They will be missing their two best players, in Fernando Torres and Stephen Gerrard, as well as Yossi Benayoun, Nabil El Zhar and Glen Johnson.
Liverpool are favourites to take the match, priced at 29/20 for the win, while Spurs are at 2/1. The draw is priced at 12/5. A 1-1 draw is the favourite result on the correct score market, priced at 6/1. A 1-0 Liverpool win is at 8/1, while a 1-0 Spurs win is at 17/2. A 2-1 Liverpool win is at 9/1, followed by a goalless draw at 10/1. A 2-0 Liverpool win is at 11/1, and a 2-1 Spurs win is at 12/1.
On the half time / full time market, Liverpool / Liverpool is the favourite spot, priced at 7/2, with draw / draw next at 9/2. Spurs / Spurs is at 9/2. Draw / Liverpool is next at 11/2, while draw / Spurs is at 6/1. Tottenham / draw and Liverpool draw are both at 14/1.
Torres and Benayoun are Liverpool`s top scorers for the season, but since neither are playing, Tottenham`s Jermain Defoe is favourite to score first at 6/1. French striker David N`Gog is next at 13/2, followed by Dirk Kuyt 7/1. Peter Crouch is at 8/1, ahead of Robbie Keane at 9/1. Liverpool`s new signing Maxi Rodriguez is priced at 10/1.
On the betting for the Champions League spots, Liverpool are priced at 11/8 to finish in the top four, while Spurs are 9/4.
