MLS: Chivas USA vs FC Dallas Odds and Betting Preview
By Ronan Curran on 2011-06-18 07:30:00
The Home Depot Center, Los Angeles - FC Dallas travel to Los Angeles looking to bounce back from a poor home loss to Kansas and move closer to the Galaxy at the top of the Western Conference. Chivas USA are the 11/8 favourites for the match with Paddy Power. FC Dallas are 23/10 with Stan James to claim the three points. The draw is 12/5 on Betfair.
FC Dallas are currently second in the MLS Standings with 25 points, six points behind the Galaxy with two games in hand. The Hoops fell 4-1 to basement side Kansas City last weekend but have otherwise been in good form recently, picking up 21 points in their last ten matches. Schellas Hyndman's side will be looking to improve on their 2-2-2 road record and will be helped by being one of only three teams not to lose any players to the Gold Cup.
Chivas USA are seventh in the Western Conference with a 4-5-5 record and are on a poor run of form with just one win in their last five. The Rojiblancos have so far been better on the road this season than at the Home Depot, something they will be looking to improve if they are to make the play-offs. Chivas also have no players on duty at the Gold Cup so will be at full strength for tonight's encounter.
Chivas are 13/2 with William Hill to win the match by a goal to nil whilst 2-0 to the home side is a 10/1 shot at Paddy Power. Dallas are 15/2 at Bet365 to claim a 1-0 victory with 2-0 to the visitors 14/1 at Stan James. William Hill are 11/2 on the 1-1 draw.
Six of Dallas' last eight games have had contained less than three goals and under 2.5 goals tonight is 4/6 with Bet365. Punters can back three goals being scored at 6/5 with Boylesports whilst four or more goals is 10/3 at Stan James. William Hill are 2/1 on under 1.5 goals being scored in the match.
Alejandro Moreno, who hasn't scored in his last six games after a promising start to the campaign, is the favourite to break the deadlock at 6/1 with Bet365. Marcos Mondaini, who has scored two goals in his past two games, is a 7/1 chance in the market with the same firm. Brek Shea, FC Dallas' leading scorer this season with 4 goals, is 8/1 to open the scoring at Bet365.
The Match Kicks off at 1930 PDT and 0330 BST.
