HUNGARORING, HUNGARY - Mark Webber comfortably won yesterday's Hungarian Grand Prix and now sits on top in the Drivers' Championship after previous leader Lewis Hamilton was forced to retire early in the race.

HOCKENHEIM, GERMANY- Fernando Alonso won the German Grand Prix under controversial circumstances yesterday. He started the race as second-favourite at 23-10 behind Sebastian Vettel, who began the race in pole position. However after the first bend, Red Bull's out-of-favour driver had been overtaken by the Ferrari duo of Massa and Alonso with the former leading the way. After a few dubious team orders though, on lap 48, after Massa had held off Alonso from the first corner, he inexplicably slowed down allowing his team mate to pass.

HOCKENHEIM, GERMANY - Sebastian Vettel is favourite with the bookmakers to win the German Grand Prix in front of his home supporters. Vettel, who is fourth in the race for the drivers’ championship, is offered at best odds of 15/8 (bet £8 to make £15 profit) with Sportingbet and William Hill.

Mark Webber won the British Grand Prix and then revealed the turmoil in the Red Bull team between him and Sebastian Vettel. As he crossed the line he radioed to his team: "Not bad for a number two driver" and later said in a press conference that he would not have signed for another season with Red Bull if he knew that he would be so badly treated.

Mark Webber was the fastest man in the second practice at Silverstone as the British bookmakers took action to shorten the two Red Bull cars in the British Grand Prix qualifying betting market. A lot has been made in the motorsport press about the McLaren upgrade, but punters are not entirely convinced about the impact of the blown rear diffuser. In theory the McLarens should be faster around Silverstone this weekend, but punters are more taken by the Red Bull team, which has spent the last two weeks tweaking the RB6 car.

Mark Webber will be looking to make it three wins in a row, as he starts from pole position in the Turkish Grand Prix today. He qualified 0.138 seconds ahead of McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, and Red Bull have now started from pole in every race.

The Formula 1 season kicks off with the Bahrain Grand Prix in three weeks, and and now that there has been plenty of pre-season testing, it is easier to see how competitive the cars will be. There is one final session of testing before the opener, which will provide further information ahead of what is set to be one of the most exciting seasons in recent years.
