German Grand Prix result and betting update

HOCKENHEIM, GERMANY- Fernando Alonso won the German Grand Prix under controversial circumstances yesterday. He started the race as second-favourite at 23-10 behind Sebastian Vettel, who began the race in pole position. However after the first bend, Red Bull's out-of-favour driver had been overtaken by the Ferrari duo of Massa and Alonso with the former leading the way. After a few dubious team orders though, on lap 48, after Massa had held off Alonso from the first corner, he inexplicably slowed down allowing his team mate to pass.

In theory the McLarens should be faster around Silverstone this weekend, but punters are more taken by the Red Bull team, which has spent the last two weeks tweaking the RB6 car.

MONACO – Mark Webber is a best price 3/4 (bet $40 to make $30 profit) to win the Monaco Grand Prix from pole position.
