Swann 4/1 to be man-of-the-match again this series

Posted in Press Releases on December 31, 2009 @ 12:47 pm by Sarah Preece

Graeme Swann took five wickets in England’s emphatic victory over South Africa, giving them a 1-0 lead in the four-match Test series.

Swann finished with 5-54 and was named man-of-the-match, adding that award to the one he picked up in the first Test in Centurion. Sky Bet go 4/1 that the Nottinghamshire spinner is man-of-the-match again in the third or fourth Test.

The 30-year-old is the most successful English bowler in 2009, having taken 54 wickets and four five-wicket hauls in 12 Tests. 6/5 is on offer for him to take a five-wicket haul in an innings during the remaining two Tests and he is an even money chance to score 50+ runs in any of the remaining Innings.

Sky Bet’s cricket betting spokesman Jason Colley said: “Swann is the form spinner in world cricket at the moment and looks likely to continue taking wickets while the South African batsmen struggle to work out the best way to play him.”
