The NFL regular season is over and we now know the 12 playoff teams who will fight it out to win the Super Bowl XLIV.
The Indianapolis Colts are 3/1 favorites (bet $10 to make $30 profit) following a 14-2 regular season record and locking up home field advantage through the playoffs.
The New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers are 4/1 joint second favorites. The Saints had been favorites to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy before they lost their last three games of the season, albeit with a reduced personnel on the field. San Diego went 13-3 when winning the AFC West but the fact they will almost certainly have to travel to the Colts to win the AFC makes the 4/1 seem not especially generous.
Next in the betting are the Minnesota Vikings at 9/1, followed by the Dallas Cowboys at 11/1 and the New England Patriots at 14/1.
The Philadelphia Eagles are 20/1 shots, followed by the Green Bay Packers at 22/1, the Arizona Cardinals at 25/1 and the Baltimore Ravens at 33/1. The Cincinnati Bengals at 40/1 and the New York Jets at 50/1 are the outsiders in the Super Bowl betting.
The 2010 Super Bowl is on 7 February in Dolphin Stadium, Miami, FL.
