English Premiership betting – Sunderland vs Man City

After picking up their first league win in 17 games in emphatic fashion against Bolton on Tuesday, Sunderland now face the unenviable task of taking on Manchester City, on the back of their 4-2 win over Chelsea. City are still very much in contention for a Champions League spot, and will want to keep the pressure on current front runners Tottenham with a win today.

UEFA Champions League football – Manchester United vs A.C. Milan

A.C Milan travel to Old Trafford tonight in the knock-out stages of the Champions League hoping to overcome their 3-2 defeat at the San Siro in the first leg of the tie. No team can claim to have a particularly strong record at the 'Theatre of Dreams', but many of Milan's players were in the side that won 1-0 there in 2005. Their most recent meeting in Manchester, in 2007, finished 3-2 to the hosts.

UEFA Champions League football betting – Real Madrid vs Lyon

Real Madrid's expensively-assembled squad will look to justify their remarkable price-tags tonight as the new Galacticos face Lyon in the Champions League. The four most expensive players in Madrid's side alone cost £200 million this summer but the Spanish Giants are facing yet another humiliating exit at this stage of the competition. Manuel Pelligrini's side have now gone top of La Liga but many believe the Chilean will need to deliver Europe's most prestigious title to keep his job.

UEFA Champions League betting – Fiorentina vs Bayern Munich

German giants Bayern Munich carry a 2-1 advantage into the second leg of their Champions League clash against Fiorentina. Bayern were outplayed in the first leg, and it took an injury time goal from Miroslav Klose for Bayern to win. Referee Tom Henning Ovrebo, infamous for his performance in Chelsea and Barcelona's semi final last season, was again at the centre of controversy in the first leg. Massimo Gobbi was sent off for a seemingly innocuous challenge, while Klose remained on the field for a dangerous two-footed challenge. This was made worse by Klose's winner, which was clearly offside.

UEFA Champions League football betting – Arsenal vs Porto

Arsenal take on Porto tonight at the Emirates, hoping to overcome a 2-1 deficit sustained from the first leg. Their task is made harder by the fact that their talismanic captain Cesc Fabregas will be missing, after he sustained a hamstring injury in the win over Burnley on Saturday. Manuel Almunia will captain the side in his absence.

UEFA Champions League betting update

The knock-out stages of the Champions League are well under way now and the first leg ties for the last sixteen have all been played. Europe's biggest club football competition resumes in two weeks as the second leg matches determine who will advance to the quarter finals.

UEFA Champions League betting – Inter Milan vs Chelsea

Jose Mourinho's will be the centre of attention tonight as his Internazionale team welcome Chelsea to the San Siro. Mourinho, who dubbed himself 'The Special One' during his time at the club, led Chelsea to consecutive Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006, their first since 1955, and is still missed by many at Stamford Bridge, including many senior players. When he arrived in Italy at Internazionale he said that he would 'always, always, always support Chelsea but if Chelsea meet Inter in the Champions League then I won't know any of them.'

UEFA Champions League betting – CSKA Moscow vs Sevilla

CSKA Moscow face Seville tonight in the Champions League. The Russian season has been over since the end of November and tonight's hosts finished as low as sixth, but they ended of a high, winning three of their final four matches. CSKA have won two of their six Champions League matches, the highlight of which was a thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester United. Sevilla are fourth in La Liga and have now taken twelve points from their last possible fifteen, last time out winning 3-1 at Mallorca.

UEFA Champions League betting – Olympiakos vs Bordeaux
