Holland completed a remarkable turnaround this afternoon to knock favourites Brazil out of the World Cup. The final score of 2-1 was a major shock for the betting markets, as this morning Brazil had been 4/9 to qualify for the semi-finals at the expense of the Dutch.

Portugal humiliated South Korea today in Cape Town, thrashing their inexperienced opponents 7-0 and justifying their odds of 4/11 (bet £110 to win £40) to win the match. North Korea were as long as 10/1 with Coral, with the draw at 4/1 with Stan James.

Germany suffered a shock defeat to Serbia in group B today, losing to 11/2 underdogs Serbia. The Germans were 4/6 to follow up their 4-0 win over Australia with another victory, while the draw was 14/5 with Totesport.

Justin Rose won his first ever PGA Tour event on Sunday in Ohio in what is also his first success for three years. The 29 year-old finished 18 under to win by three shots from runner-up Rickie Fowler.
