Kansas City Chiefs schedule – 2010/11 season
By Richard Hutchinson on 2010-09-13 20:12:47
The Kansas City Chiefs are not expected to have a good season - or so say the bookmakers who offer odds of 150/1 (bet $1 to make $150 profit) about them winning the Super Bowl. With only four wins all last season fans can only hope for some sort of improvement.
The Chiefs have the tenth easiest schedule of any NFL team according to the strength of schedule calculations on the basis of how their opponents performed last season.
They open their season with a Monday Night Football fixture against divisional rivals San Diego and the Chiefs get a 4.5 point start against a Chargers side that are 11/1 second favorites for the Super Bowl. The under/over is 44.5. The Chiefs are 15/2 to win the AFC West and 66/1 to win the AFC Conference.
Their most difficult games this season are the opening week against San Diego and the reverse encounter in week 14, plus a trip to the Colts in week 5. Their bye week is early in the season in week four. Those looking for betting hints on the Chiefs should know they have lost their last seven home games against the point spread and are 17-6 in their last 23 home games against the spread. On the road as an underdog - which they usually are - they perform much better and are 16-8 against the spread away from home over the last 24 games.
