NFL Pre-season football betting odds - Oakland Raiders vs Dallas Cowboys

Dallas, TX- Oakland travel to Dallas today for the first game of their pre-season schedule and the home team are 3.5-point favorites over their Californian opponents. Oakland had another hard time last year and finished with a poor record of 5-11.
The Cowboys, on the other hand, will have every reason to look back on 2009-2010 as a success and a platform on which to build for the new season. They went 11-5, but were crushed 34-3 in the playoffs by Minnesota to end their Super Bowl hopes.
The money line has Dallas at -170 (bet $170 to win $100 profit), leaving Oakland as underdogs at +185 (bet $100 to win $185 profit). It is rare that one side is favored so heavily in a pre-season game, as both teams are likely to bench their starters for much of the contest. It is also worth noting that the Raiders beat Dallas in the first pre-season game of last season, winning 31-10.
The Over/Under for the game has been set at 34.5 points and this will probably attract money given that the Cowboys and Raiders exceeded that is seven of their eight pre-season games combined last season.
Dallas look they could mount a Super Bowl challenge this year and they are joint second-favorites on Betfair at 12/1 (bet $10 to win $120 profit). Oakland look set to struggle yet again and they are available at as long as 169/1.
