Now that the 2010 NFL draft has happened, we take a look at how the chances and odds of each team have changed.
The favourites to win the Vince Lombardi trophy next year are this year`s runners-up the Indianapolis Colts, who are priced at 9/1. The Colts picked TCU defensive end Jerry Hughes as their first round pick, and linebacker Pat Angerer as their second.
Last year`s Super Bowl winners, the New Orleans Saints, are second favourites for next year at 10/1. Obviously they do not need too many reinforcements, but have strengthened their line-up with cornerback Patrick Robinson, offensive tackle Charles Brown and tight end Jimmy Graham, among others.
The San Diego Chargers were beaten by the New York Jets in the divisional playoffs, and are priced at 11/1 to win next year. Their main recruit was running back Ryan Matthews, and he will be looking to fill the boots of LaDainian Tomlinson, who has gone to the Jets.
The Dallas Cowboys were very impressive in the regular season, finishing 11-5, and they lost to the Minnesota Vikings in the divisional playoff. They will be strengthened by star wide receiver Dez Bryant, who was their first round pick. Â They are 14/1 to win next year.
It was a very disappointing season for the New England Patriots, who finished 10-6, but lost in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. However, they heavily strengthened their team in the draft, with cornerback Devin McCourty, tight end Rob Gronkowski, defensive end Jermaine Cunningham and linebacker Brandon Spikes, among others. Sky Bet offer 14/1 for them to win the Super Bowl next year.
The Green Bay Packers, the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets are all at 16/1. The Jets had a fantastic season, reaching the AFC Championship, where they gave the Colts a run for their money. The Jets added to their rock-solid defense in the draft, landing cornerback Kyle Wilson.
