NFL Christmas Day Game - San Diego Chargers vs Tennessee Titans

Tennessee host San Diego tonight hoping to keep their slim play-off hopes alive. The Titans`s win over Miami last week in overtime improved them to .500 for the first time this season but they still need a lot of help and wins in both their remaining games. San Diego need a win to clinch a first round bye after going 11-3 so far to win the AFC West, last week also winning 27-24 in a thriller against the Bengals.
The Titans are favourites for the game on the money line at -120 (bet $120 to win $100 profit), leaving San Diego as the underdogs at +130 (bet $100 to win $130 profit).Betting on the money line so far has seen the vast majority, 94%, backing the visitors, and it seems most people have been unable to look past the Chargers` remarkable winning record of late.
The points spread for the game has been set at two points, showing that the bookmakers believe the teams are very evenly matched. San Diego have an advantage of +2 and Tennessee are -2 as favourites. Betting against the spread has also mainly been in favour of San Diego, but to a lesser extent, and 74% of money so far has backed the Chargers to beat the spot tonight. Last time the sides met they did just that as they beat a rookie Vince Young and his team 17-6 in the 2007 AFC Divisional Playoff game.
The Over/Under for the game has been set at 48 points and 63% of money so far has backed the Over.
Both teams tonight have been in incredible form recently and their post-season hopes have changed dramatically over the past eight weeks. San Diego have been unstoppable after an average start to the season and are now third favourites for this year`s Super Bowl at 11/2. Tennessee still have a lot to do and require a lot of help to even earn a Wild Card spot and are priced at 125/1, but if they can somehow get in they will be a team nobody will want to face.
