Philadelphia travel to New York in the late game in week fourteen of the NFL season to face the Giants. Both teams are in the strong and competitive NFC East and will look to advance their chances of winning it, as the division is very open. New York are 7-5 after a very mixed season and need to beat the Eagles, who are 8-4, to have a chance of catching the Cowboys, who have the same record.
Philadelphia go into the game as very slight favourites on the money line in a very tight game and are priced at -110 (bet $110 to win $100 profit), leaving New York as underdogs at +100 (bet $100 to win $100 profit). Last week both teams won, with New York beating Dallas 31-24 and Philadelphia winning 34-7 in Atlanta.
The points spread for the game is set at one point, making the Eagles favourites at -1 point and giving the hosts a handicap of +1 point. Betting on the money line so far has seen the majority of money backing the visitors, with 70% of action behind Philadelphia to cover the spot. Last time the teams met the Eagles crushed the Giants 40-17.
The Over/Under for the game is set at 44 points and in betting so far 60% of money has backed the Under. This may be due to the weather that is to be expected in New York, as both teams have proved themselves more than capable of scoring points this season.
Both teams are in the picture for this year`s Super Bowl but Philadelphia are seen as the more likely of two teams at 22/1 with the Giants at 40/1.
