NFL Week Fourteen betting - Denver Broncos vs Indianapolis Colts

The unbeaten Indianapolis Colts host Denver today in week fourteen of the NFL season hoping to extend their incredible run of form which has seen them win twenty-one regular season games in a row. Peyton Manning`s team are looking to become the first team ever to win the Super Bowl after going unbeaten in the regular season and last week`s 27-17 win over Tennessee saw them improve to 12-0. Denver started the season 6-0 but a mixed set of results has seen them fall to 8-4. However, they will be optimistic going into today`s game after thrashing the Chiefs 44-13 last week.
The Colts go into the game as favourites on the money line at -275 (bet $275 to win $100 profit), leaving the Broncos as underdogs at +260 (bet $100 to win $260 profit). Betting on the money line so far has been mainly behind Denver, and 79% of money has backed an upset that would spoil the Colts` unbeaten run.
The points spread is set at 6.5 points, making the Colts favourites at -6.5 points and giving Denver a handicap of +6.5 points. Betting against the spread so far has been far more even than the money line and 51% of action has been behind the Colts. Last time the sides met, 6.5 points would not have been enough for Denver as they fell 38-20 to Indianapolis in week four of the 2007 season.
The Over/Under points total for the games has been set at 44 points and 58% of money so far has backed the Over. This could well be because the Colts are so potent going forward under the leadership of Manning and the threat of Reggie Wayne and other receivers. Denver showed last week that they also know how to score points and today`s game could see a real shoot-out.
Indianapolis are second favourites for the Super Bowl this season after their excellent form so far and are priced at 10/3. Denver are not rated as highly but are given an outside chance of mounting a challenge at 40/1.
