By Matt Knowles on 2009-12-06 17:39:16
Peyton Manning and the Colts hosts Tennessee today hoping to continue their campaign for being the first teams ever to go unbeaten in the regular season and finish as Super Bowl Champions. However, they will have to get past the Titans first, who have been rejuvenated by the return to quarterback of Vince Young and last week became the first team in NFL history to win five games in a row after starting at 0-6 with their dramatic win over the Cardinals.
Indianapolis are, as expected, favourites for the game on the money line at -260 (bet $240 to win $100 profit), leaving the Titans as underdogs at +240 (bet $100 to win $240 profit). Betting on the money line so far has seen the majority of punters backing the visitors with 78% of money behind an upset today.
The point spread for the game has been set at seven points, making the unbeaten Colts favourites at -7 and giving the Titans a handicap of +7 points. Betting against the spread so far has seen 60% of action behind the visitors. Last time the teams met, however, it was the Colts who came out on top, beating Tennessee 31-9 in Nashville in week five of the current season.
The Over/Under line is set at 46 points and betting so far has seen 76% of money backing the Over.
Indianapolis are second-favourites to win win the Super Bowl this year at 7/2. Tennessee are much less likely, standing at 5-6, but at 80/1 are shorter than may be expected, probably due to their incredible form of late.
