Last year`s Super Bowl champions the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cincinnati Bengals this week. The Steelers have emerged as serious Super Bowl contenders in recent weeks, on the back of impressive victories against Minnesota and Denver. Both teams have a record of 6-2 at the moment, but the Bengals beat the Steelers in game week three 23-20.
Pittsburgh`s home advantage makes them seven point favourites for the game, and 51% of the money has backed them to cover it. Before this season Cincinnati had lost and failed to cover in their last five meetings with Pittsburgh.
On the money line the Steelers are at -300 (bet $300 to make $100 profit), but only 13% of punters have backed Pittsburgh, with the other 87% opting for the Bengals at +270.
The Over / Under line is at 41.5 points for the game, and 78% of people have bet the Over. Pittsburgh have an over leaning with Cincinnati with all of their last three contests going over.
The Steelers have covered the spread in 17 of their last 27 contests at home, and have a 22-20 record of covering the spread as favourites. Cincinnati have covered the spot in six of their last twelve games away on grass, and have covered 14 times out of 26 as underdog.
