NFL Week Seven betting preview - New England Patriots vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

London`s famous Wembley Stadium will be the venue for the NFL week seven clash between the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa Bay, who will officially be the home side tonight, are yet to win a game this season, last week losing yet again to Carolina in a 28-21 loss to fall to 0-6. New England on the other hand have started the season brightly and last week crushed the hapless Tennessee Titans 59-0 in the Massachusetts snow.
The Patriots are heavy favourites for the game at a best-priced -1000 (bet $1000 to win $100 profit), leaving the win-less Bucs as big underdogs at +800 (bet $100 to win $800 profit). Last time the two teams met the Patriots shut out the Bucs 28-0.
The point spread for the game is set at 15 points, making the Patriots favourites at -15 points and Tampa Bay big underdogs at +15 points. In betting so far, 95% of money has backed the 2007 Super Bowl runners-up.
So far this season the Patriots have done slightly better on the field (4-2) than against the spread (3-3). The Bucs, however, have been marginally more successful at covering (1-5) than winning (0-6). New England have also failed to cover the spread in their last eight attempts when laying ten or more points, as they are today.
The Over/Under total is set at 45 points for this game and so far 91% of betting has been on the Over. This makes sense as both teams have finished Over in four of their six games so far this season.
New England are third favourites to win the Super Bowl and the bookmakers believe they are in with a really good chance of winning this year at 15/2. The Bucs are the least-fancied team in the league and are an insurmountable 1500/1.
