NFL Week Four Betting - New York Giants vs Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City host 2008 Superbowl winners New York in week four of the NFL season. The teams could not have had more dissimilar starts to the season, with the Giants a perfect 3-0 and the Chiefs still looking to win a game. Last week the Giants triumphed 24-0 over Tampa Bay while the Chiefs lost 34-14 at Philadelphia. Last time these teams played New York came away with a 27-17 win in week 15 of the 2005 season.
Looking at the teams` respective records it is easy to see why the Giants are heavy favourites for the match at -400 on the money line (bet $400 to win $100 profit) and the Chiefs big underdogs at +380 (bet $100 to win $380 profit). So far punters seem to favour the Giants, with 91% of money on the money line placed on the visitors.
The spread for the game is set at nine points, putting the Giants at -9 and making the Chiefs big underdogs at +9 points for the game. So far 90% of money on the point spread has been on the Giants covering the spread.
Last year the Chiefs were much better at covering the spread than they were at winning, going 2-14 but covering the spread at a 50% rate. The Giants were no slouches against the spread either, however, and cover six times out of eight attempts on the road.
The over/under is set at 42 points and so far 55% of money has been on the under. However, the Chiefs have had 10 overs in their last 15 games.
New York are second favourites to win this year`s Superbowl at 17/2 but the bookies do not seem to give the Chiefs much chance at 500/1.
