By Matt Knowles on 2009-10-03 16:41:34
The Buffalo Bills travel to sunny Florida to face the Miami Dolphins in week four of the NFL season. Neither team has had a great start to the season, with the Bills at 1-2 and Miami win-less at 0-3. Last week Buffalo lost 27-7 to the New Orleans Saints and Miami not only lost 23-13 to San Diego but also lost quarterback Chad Pennington for the season through injury. The last game between these two teams ended in a 16-3 Miami in in week 14 of last season.
Buffalo have been made slight favourites for the game on the money line at -109 (bet $109 to win $100 profit) at the Dolphins are underdogs at +105 (bet $100 to win $105 profit). So far 69% of action on the game has been on the home side.
The point spread has been set at 1, making the Bills favourites at -1 point with the underdog Dolphins at +1 point. So far on the point spread betting 62% of money has been on the Bills.
Last years, Buffalo lost and failed to cover the spread both times these teams met, but the Dolphins were 2-6 against the spread at home last season.
The over/under has been set at 37 points for the game, with 80% of betting so far on the over, even thought both games last season between the two finished under.
Buffalo are 66/1 to win the Superbowl this year, but the Dolphins are even longer at 200/1.
