Premier League: Manchester United vs West Bromwich Albion Odds and Betting Preview

OLD TRAFFORD, MANCHESTER - Manchester United look to return to winning ways when they face high-flyers West Brom this weekend.  Manchester United are priced best at 2/7 (bet £7 to make £2 profit) with Boylesports to win what should be a routine victory. However, given United have only won one of the past four in the league and the fact that West Brom have made a strong start to the season having beaten Arsenal away and only lost one in eight, the result is not as certain as you might expect.
Man Utd have won 11 and lost none of the last 12 league meetings with West Brom, and the Baggies are a best price of 12/1 with Paddy Power and Betfred to pull off what would be an astonishing win, while the rather more credible draw is 5/1 with Sky Bet and Stan James.
Man Utd have scored in 14 consecutive Premier League matches at Old Trafford and only in two of those games did they fail to score at least three times. Over 2.5 goals can be backed at a top price of 8/15 with Betfred, while under 2.5 goals is 13/8 with Totesport.
While there is little value in backing United to win, punters who see United getting a routine 3 points may wish to back United to be winning at half-time and full-time at 4/5 with Stan James, or United to win to nil at a top price of 11/10 with Bet365, Coral and Paddy Power. The Man Utd clean sheet is evens with Coral.
Dimitar Berbatov scored in each of his two Premier League appearances against West Brom, and he is priced best at 7/2 with Stan James to score first and evens with Stan James to score anytime. Other first goalscorer odds:
- Wayne Rooney 7/2 (Paddy Power)
- Ryan Giggs 7/1 (Betfred)
- Nani 15/2 (Blue Square)
- Park Ji-Sung 11/1 (Blue Square)
- Peter Odemwingie 16/1 (Bet365)
- Chris Brunt 20/1 (Bet365)
- Jermoe Thomas 22/1 (Paddy Power)
