By Richard Hutchinson on 2010-02-07 15:59:38
Final Score: Chelsea 2 Arsenal 0
5.58pm (UK) - The final whistle blows and Chelsea are the comfortable winners, mainly thanks to Drogba. Chelsea are a best price 8/11 with William Hill to win the Premiership with Manchester United at 13/8 on Betfair. Arsenal are out to 22/1 on Betfair with 80/1 Manchester City and Liverpool.
5.38pm (UK) - The score remains the same with Arsenal trying to find a goal from somewhere. The 2-0 scoreline is now on offer at 5/6.
5.28pm (UK) - The game has died off a bit as the teams seem to accept their fate. The 2-0 result has shortened to 11/8.
5.19pm (UK) - No more goals and Chelsea shorten still further in the outright betting to 1/18. You can still get 2/1 with Paddy Power that the game ends 2-0.
4.47pm (UK) - HALF TIME. Chelsea lead 2-0 and only the most loyal Arsenal fan could argue that they have any chance of winning the Premiership. It looks like a two horse race now - 8/11 Chelsea and 5/4 Manchester United are the best odds on offer in the Premiership winner betting and Arsenal are out to 20/1.
In the match betting Chelsea are now 1/16, the draw is 12/1 and Arsenal are 50/1 at the best bookie prices. It is 4/1 for the game to remain 2-0 at full time with Paddy Power.
4.25pm (UK) - GOAL from Drogba. His 12th goal in the last 10 matches against Arsenal. Against the run of play but superbly taken. Chelsea now on offer at 1/11, the draw is 8/1 and Arsenal are 28/1 for an unlikely comeback.
4.11pm (UK) - In the under/over 3.5 goals market it is 6/5 on over 3.5 goals. Chelsea are now a best price of 2/7 to win the game, the draw is 9/2 and Arsenal are 10/1.
4.09pm (UK) - GOAL to Chelsea, scored by Drogba who lands his backers a 5/1 winner.
4.03pm (UK) - Three minutes in and it looks like an open, attacking contest. In running betting on the under/over 2.5 goals market is Evens over 2.5 goals and 11/10 under.
3.55pm (UK) - Chelsea are the hot favourites to win this afternoon`s derby against Arsenal. Best odds on offer are 4/5 Chelsea, 13/5 Draw and 4/1 Arsenal.
On the Asian handicap Chelsea (-0.5) are 1.90 and Arsenal (+0.5) are 2.08.
Didier Drogba is 5/1 favourite to score the first goal, followed by Anelka at 11/2 and Lampard at 7/1. Arshavin at 8/1 and Fabregas at 10/1 are the first two in the betting from Arsenal`s squad.
