Gareth Bale Red-Hot Favourite for PFA Player of the Year

London, England - The Player's Football Association annual awards take place this Sunday with Gareth Bale the odds-on favourite for the Player of the Year award. Jack Wilshere is the favourite for young player of the year.
Gareth Bale has had a stunning season for Tottenham, scoring 11 goals in all competitions including a stunning hat-trick against Inter Milan at the San Siro. The Spurs winger is 2/7 with Skybet to be recognised as the League's best player by his fellow professionals. Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic, who is having yet another impressive year at the heart of United's defence is a 15/2 chance with Coral. Scott Parker, who has been hugely influentual in the centre of West Ham's midfield, is 11/1 to win the award with Paddy Power. Manchester City's Carlos Tevez, who has scored 19 Premier League goals so far this season, is 12/1 with Coral. Arsenal's midfield playmaker Samir Nasri is an 18/1 chance at Paddy Power. Charlie Adam who has been instrumental in Blackpool's entertaining Premier League campaign is 25/1 with Coral. Rafael Van Der Vaart who started the season in stunning form but has since tailed off is a 40/1 longshot at SkyBet.
19 year old Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is the odds-on favourite for the young player award at a best price of 1/3 with SkyBet. Gareth Bale who is eligible for both awards is 5/2 for the award with Skybet. Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez, with 11 goals this season despite featuring mainly from the bench, is 9/1 with Paddy Power. Luis Nani, who has been a constant threat on the flanks for United with 14 assists and 9 goals in the league, is 14/1 at SkyBet. Joe Hart and Samir Nasri are each 16/1 with SkyBet whilst Seamus Coleman is a 25/1 chance at SkyBet.
The winners of the awards will be announced on Sunday 17th April.
