THE HAWTHORNS - There are almost certainly no teams more in need of a win this weekend than West Brom and Fulham, both of whom are currently in the relegation zone.
The home side are seen as the more likely of the two to take the points, and are available at 13/10 (bet £10 to make £13 profit) with Betfred and Coral, while Fulham are quoted at best odds of 12/5 with Victor Chandler. The draw can be backed at a standout 23/10 at Ladbrokes .Â
Fulham started the season without a win in three, but have recently found better form having gained a point from a hard fought 2-2 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League, and then they held Chelsea for 90 minutes, drawing 0-0 at Stamford Bridge in the Carling Cup. On the other hand, Roy Hodgson will be determined to get West Brom of to their first victory of the season at the Hawthorns Stadium.
West Brom strikers Peter Odemwingie and Shane Long are joint favourites in the first goalscorer market and can be backed at best odds of 6/1 with both Paddy Power and Coral. Next in the betting market is Fulham’s Byron Ruiz who is on offer at best odds of 8/1 with Skybet and Stan James. Bobby Zamora is at an industry best of 7/1 with Coral, whilst Fulham captain Danny Murphy, who has scored four goals this season, can be had at a top priced 16/1 shot with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. Â
In the correct score market, bookmakers favour a 1-1 draw which can be backed at 6/1 with 888 Sport. Ladbrokes are offering a standout 7/1 on a 1-0 win to the home side, whilst Fulham to win 1-0 is at 8/1 with Bet 365 and Paddy Power. Last time these two sides met Fulham came out with a 3-0 win. Punters can fetch odds as long as 35/1 with Paddy Power on the score line being repeated.
In the over/under market, over 2.5 goals is top priced at 11/10 with Coral and Paddy Power, whilst under 2.5 is available at best odds of 8/11 with Skybet. If punters are predicting an open contest, best odds of 3/1 with William Hill are available for over 3.5 goals.Â
West Brom/West Brom is at 3/1 with Boylesports in the half-time/full-time market. West Brom to win the match after being held back at the break is at 5/1 with William Hill. On the other hand Fulham to lead at both half-time and full-time is at a standout 5/1 with Boylesports. If Fulham win the first half and then go one to lose the game, Bet 365 are offering 28/1. Victor Chandler and Coral are a top priced 4/1 shot for the game to be tied at both half-time and full-time. Â
