Premier League: Norwich vs Blackburn odds and betting preview

NORWICH, UK: Paul Lambert's Norwich have taken little time to adjust to life in the top flight and the newly-promoted side are 21/20 favourites with Boylesports to beat Blackburn as the two meet at Carrow Road on Saturday. The draw is available at 13/5 with Stan James, while Rovers, who are looking more like a Championship side this season than their opponents, can be backed at 10/3 with Victor Chandler.
Norwich drew 1-1 at Liverpool last time out and will be confident that they can continue in the vein of form that has seen them win three of their last five matches. Blackburn have lost three of their last four in the Premier League and could find themeslves struggling for fitness after they needed extra time to knock Newcastle out of the Carling Cup in midweek.Â
The game looks set to be a tight one and a 1-1 draw is the favourite score, at 13/2 with William Hill. Next in the betting is a 1-0 home win, at 7/1 with Ladbrokes, while 2-0 is 17/2 with Paddy Power. Sky Bet offer 11/1 that the game finishes goalless, while the same price is available with Bet 365 on a 1-0 win for Blackburn; a result which could save manager Steve Kean's job.
Steve Morison is favourite to open the scoring on Saturaday, at 11/2 with Paddy Power, ahead of last week's hero Grant Holt, at 6/1 with Sportingbet. Norwich's top-scorer so far this term, Anthony Pilkington, is 12/1 with Bet 365, while David Goodwillie is believed to carry Blackburn's biggest threat, at 9/1 with Paddy Power, despite his failing to find the net in as many as eight appearances so far.
In the half-time/full-time betting, the most likely course of events is Norwich/Norwich, at 12/5 with Ladbrokes and Boylesports, followed by draw/Norwich, at 4/1 with Coral. Slightly longer, at 5/1 with Victor Chandler is draw/draw, while Blackburn are a standout 7/1 with Betinternet to lead at both the interval and the final whistle. Draw/Blackburn is as long as 8/1 with Bodog.
Both sides will be aware that they are likely to end up in some form of relegation battle come May, and it is Norwich who are thought better prepared. The Canaries are 9/4 with Sky Bet for the drop, while Blackburn are no longer than evens, available with Bet 365.Â
The game kicks off at 3pm BST.
