Premier League: Swansea City v Manchester United Odds and Betting Preview

SWANSEA, UK – Following the International break, Manchester United return to Premier League action this Saturday with a trip to Wales to take on Swansea City. The reigning Premier League champions are the odd-on favourites for the contest, with Betfred offering an industry-leading 8/15 (bet £15 to make £8 profit) on the visitors coming away with all three points. Swansea are 7/1 with William Hill to continue their fine start to the season with a famous victory. Victor Chandler go 10/3 on the draw.
Manchester United head into this weekend in second place in the Premier league standings, five points off leaders Man City, after the first eleven matches of the campaign. Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have reeled off four straight wins since their well-documented derby defeat, with a major defensive improvement helping the Champions grind out results over the past weeks despite failing to match their blistering early season form. Another victory this weekend will be crucial for the Red Devils, as they look to prevent their neighbours from pulling away in the title race but they will not be helped by a growing injury list that now includes Tom Cleverley, Michael Owen, Danny Welbeck, Fabio and Chris Smalling. United will however be boosted by the return of England international Ashley Young, available again after a toe injury.
Swansea have exceeded all expectations so far this season and currently lie 10th in the League table. The Swan’s lofty league position has been built almost entirely on their strong home form, with four victories and a draw from their opening five matches at the Liberty Stadium. Brendan Rodger’s outfit have been praised for their expansive play but have also been impressive defensively, particularly at home where the side has only conceded a solitary goal so far this season.Â
In the correct score market, 1-0 to Man Utd is the favoured result at a best price of 7/1 with Ladbrokes whilst 2-1 to the visitors is a 15/2 chance with William Hill. Swansea are 17/1 with Paddy Power to win the match by a goal to nil whilst 2-1 to the home side is a 25/1 shot at Boylesports. Ladbrokes offer 8/1 on the 1-1 draw whilst a scoreless affair is a 12/1 chance at SkyBet.
Man Utd are 5/4 with Bet365 to be leading at Half-Time and go on to victory whilst Draw/Man Utd is a 7/2 chance with Ladbrokes. Swansea/Swansea is 14/1 with Boylesports whilst Draw/Draw is 6/1 at Victor Chandler. Man Utd/Swansea is a 66/1 longshot with Paddy Power.
Manchester United are 11/10 with Paddy Power to keep a fifth successive clean sheet or 6/4 to win the match without conceding with Coral. Swansea are 11/2 with Paddy Power to record their fifth home clean sheet of the season or 11/1 with Victor Chandler to win to nil.
Wayne Rooney, who has scored nine goals in ten league appearances so far this campaign, is the 9/2 favourite to break the deadlock with Coral. Javier Hernandez is a 5/1 chance to open the scoring with Bet365 whilst Ashley Young is a 15/2 chance in the market with Paddy Power. Danny Graham is Swansea’s top chance to grab the opener at 10/1 with Ladbrokes.
The Match Kicks off at 1730 GMT with live coverage on ESPN.
