Premier League: Stoke City vs Blackburn Rovers Odds and Betting Preview

STOKE, UK: Blackburn Rovers head to Stoke on Saturday to face a side desperate to arrest their recent decline in form. Bookmakers believe the hosts have it in them to do just that, with Victor Chandler making Tony Pulis's side favourites for the match at 5/6. The draw is 11/4 with William Hill, while Bet 365 offer odds of 4/1 on a Rovers win. 

After a bright start to the season, Stoke City have now lost their last five games in domestic competition and lost 3-2 at home to QPR last time out. They will be hopeful of turning their fortunes around, though, against a Blackburn side that lies 19th in the Premier League table and is yet to win away from home this term.

A 1-1 draw is the joint-favourite score for the game at 13/2 with Ladbrokes, along with a 1-0 win for Stoke at the same price with William Hill. Stoke are 8/1, again with Ladbrokes to restore their confidence with a 2-0 win, while the game is 11/1 with Sportingbet to finish goalless. Blackburn's last League win came 4-3 over Arsenal, but a more modest 1-0 seems more likely for Saturday's encounter, with that score available at 14/1 with Bet 365. 

Peter Crouch has made a decent start to his tenure at the Britannia Stadium and the lanky hitman is the bookmakers' favourite to open the scoring, at 11/2 with Sky Bet. He is followed in the betting by Kenwyne Jones, at 6/1 with Ladbrokes, while Betfred offer the same price on Jonathan Walters, Stoke's top scorer so far this season. Junior Hoilett's form has been the silver lining on a cloudy campaign so far for Blackburn, and he is available at 11/1 to break the deadlock for his side with Victor Chandler, with David Goodwillie available at the same price. 

Stoke are 2/1 with Coral to lead at both half-time and full-time and 4/1 with Ladbrokes to win the match after drawing at the interval. Bet 365 make it 5/1 that both halves are drawn, while Blackburn/Blackburn and draw/Blackburn are 9/1 and 10/1 respectively with Blue Square and 888 Sport.

The Premier League is extremely tight this year at both ends of the table and Blackburn are one of many teams in danger of relegation. Boylesports make them evens for the drop, while Stoke look clear of danger at 14/1 with Stan James. Manchester City are favourites for the title after an imperious start, at just 8/11 with Coral.
