Premier League: Queens Park Rangers vs Manchester United Odds and Betting Preview

LONDON, UK – Reigning champions Manchester United have a chance to head to top the table this afternoon as they take on struggling QPR at Loftus Road. United are the 1/2 favourites for the contest at Paddy Power. QPR are 7/1 with Coral to record a memorable victory. Victor Chandler offer an industry-best 10/3 on a share of the spoils.
Injury-plagued Manchester United head to London this weekend looking to keep up the pressure on arch-rivals Manchester City by securing the three points that would take them to the top of the standings ahead of City’s clash with in-form Arsenal. Sir Alex Ferguson’s troops rebounded well from their early exit from the Champions League last weekend with a convincing 4-1 victory over Wolves and will be targeting a similarly impressive display at Loftus Road on Sunday. The visitors will not be helped by a growing injury list, with key first team players such including the likes of Nemanja Vidic, Darren Fletcher, Javier Hernandez, Tom Cleverley, Anderson and both Da Silva twins all on the long term injury list.
After a promising start to the campaign, Queens Park Rangers have stumbled a bit of late and now sit 15th in the League table, just three points above the drop zone. Neil Warnock’s side have won just one of their last six league games and have particularly struggled at Loftus road, recording just a single home victory so far this season. Rangers will need to rediscover their form quickly or face being dragged into the relegation places but face a daunting challenge against the reigning champions. Key offseason acquisition DJ Campbell may make a return for the hosts following two months on the sidelines.
In the correct score market, 1-0 to Man Utd is the favoured result at a best-priced 6/1 with Ladbrokes whilst 2-1 to the visitors is a 15/2 chance with William Hill. QPR are 17/1 with Paddy Power to win the match by a goal to nil whilst 2-1 to the home side is a 25/1 shot at Boylesports. Ladbrokes go 8/1 on the 1-1 draw whilst a scoreless affair is a 12/1 chance at Stan James.
Man Utd/Man Utd is the 5/4 favourite in the Half-Time/Full-Time market with Coral whilst Draw/Man Utd is a 7/2 chance with William Hill. QPR/QPR is a 14/1 chance in the market with Boylesports whilst Draw/Draw is a 6/1 chance at Ladbrokes. Man Utd/QPR is a 66/1 longshot with Paddy Power.
Wayne Rooney, who broke his eight game scoring drought last weekend with a brace against Wolves, is 10/3 with Bet365 be the first name on the scoresheet. Danny Welbeck is a 5/1 chance in the same market with Ladbrokes whilst Nani is a 7/1 shot with Betfred. Heidar Helguson, top scorer for the R’s with six league goals so far this season, is the hosts top chance to grab the opener at 10/1 with Paddy Power.
The Match Kicks off at 1200 GMT.
