Premier League - Man City v Stoke Odds and Betting Preview

MANCHESTER, ENGLAND
League leaders host Stoke City tonight in the English Premier League and will be hoping to take all three points and put the pressure on other title contenders Manchester United. Mancini’s side are obvious favourites for the match at ¼ with Coral. The draw is priced up at 5/1 with bet365 whereas a victory for the visitors is unlikely at 14/1 with Victor Chandler.
Both Gael Clichy and Edin Dzeko are expected to return to the Manchester City squad tonight. Clichy has finished his suspension after being sent off at Stamford Bridge whereas Dzeko seems to have shaken off the injury he picked up in training. The side will be without Alexsandar Kolarov however who is nursing a groin injury. City have won all eight home games this season and have only dropped two points in 2011 in front of the Etihad faithful.
Ryan Shawcross has picked up five yellow cards this season and therefore will have to sit out this match. Tony Pulis will be without Glenn Whelan and Andy Wilkinson as they are both injured. Stoke have not replicated the consistency of previous season and, although this could be out down to the pressure of lots of Europa League fixtures, their heavy defeats to Sunderland and Bolton were more than surprising. They are on a club record run of four back to back wins however and are never a pushover.
Whenever Manchester City are playing, the Over/Under market becomes interesting. Pessimists may like odds of 14/5 for fewer than two goals in the game. On the other hand there will be some fantastic players on the pitch with unprecedented amounts of flair. Therefore bets such as over five goals at 6/1 with bet365 seem tempting especially as Stoke have conceded over three goals five times this season. Manchester City dominate the correct score market for tonight. A Stoke 1-0 win is the 14th most likely score at 33/1 with bet365. The favourite scoreline is a 2-0 home win at 7/1 with Paddy Power and next are the 1-0 and 3-0 victories both at 13/2 with StanJames.com.
Sergio Aguero is the favourite to break the deadlock tonight at 7/2 with bet 365 and his controversial strike-partner Mario Balotelli is given the same odds with bet365 again. Peter Crouch needs one more goal to reach 100 in his league career. The odds on him scoring first against the number one team in the United Kingdom are given at 14/1 with bet365.
The game starts at 7.45 tonight.
