Ladbrokes have some good news for Andy Murray following his elimination from the US Open, offering odds of 1/2 that the Scot will win a Grand Slam at some stage in his career, and 6/4 that he breaks his duck next year. The man from Dunblane is 6/4 to never win a Grand Slam. His third round conqueror, Stanislas Wawrinka, is 50/1 to win the US Open, with Federer 6/5 and Nadal 11/8.
David Williams of Ladbrokes said, "One defeat doesn`t make you a bad player, and although going out to Wawrinka will be a setback, we still think he`s got the ability win a Slam in his career."
