Money For Many Makes Mercury Music Most Open In Years

With only a couple of days until the 2010 Mercury Music Award winner is announced, Coral bookmakers report that this years renewal is the most open in years, and have seen extremely good money for four of the nominees, with Laura Marling, and her album ‘I Speak Because I Can’, the stand out gamble.

“Turnover has been well up on previous years, and we expect to see a lot more over the weekend, and although we have taken good money for four acts, we’ll settle for anyone but Laura Marling winning!,” said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.

The xx are the 13-8 favourites to lift the coveted prize on Tuesday.
