Roberto Donadoni 25/1 in Aston Villa manager betting

Roberto Donadoni is 25/1 with Sky Bet to be named as the next Aston Villa manager following the news from his UK representative that the former Italy national coach has applied for the vacant role.

Current caretaker manager Kevin Macdonald still heads the market at 11/8 whilst former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is now 2/1 (from 4/1) after a flurry of bets late yesterday.

Alan Curbishley, who was subject of a gamble yesterday, is still 3/1.

Sky Bet`s Tim Reynolds said: "Randy Lerner has said that he wants a manager with Premier League experience and both Houllier and Curbishley would be able to offer this. We`ve already seen five different favourites in the next Aston Villa manager betting so it wouldn`t be a surprise to see more twists and turns over the next couple of days."
