Alex McLeish 6/4 not to see out the 2010/11 season at St Andrews

Alex McLeish is 6/4 with Sky Bet not to see out the 2010/11 season at St Andrews following the news that the 51 year-old has stalled on signing a new deal with Birmingham City. It`s understood that the Blues are keen to offer McLeish a new deal after guiding them to ninth spot last season but the former Rangers and Scotland boss is asking for too much money.

1/2 is on offer for the Scotsman to see out the season with his current club.

The news has also led to McLeish`s odds to be cut to 12/1 (from 20/1) to be the next Aston Villa manager.

Sky Bet`s Tim Reynolds said: "McLeish has done a great job with Birmingham City, guiding them to promotion from the Championship and then a top 10 finish in the Premier League the following season so it would be a surprise to see the midlands club let the 51 year-old go."
