McIlroy 4/1 favourite to be top European points scorer

RORY McIlroy is 4/1 favourite with Ladbrokes to be the top European Ryder Cup points scorer at Celtic Manor.

He`s ahead in the betting of Graeme McDowell and Ian Poulter at 6/1, Martin Kaymer at 7/1 and world number three Lee Westwood who is an 8/1 shot.

Surprise wild card choice Padraig Harrington is a 12/1 chance.

Europe are 8/13 to win with USA at 13/8.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said: "With the European team now confirmed and only a month to go golf fans are already having their say on who Europe`s heroes could be."
